Mule Deer Hunts

Alberta, Canada is known for its world class whitetail deer hunting. So it should be no surprise that where big Whitetails grow big Mule Deer can grow too. With abundant bush pockets and rich agricultural land, you know this is a recipe for great deer. We can't guarantee that you will harvest a 140-150 class Alberta Mule Deer, but we will guarantee that they are here and that you will see them. In hunting with Straight Arrow Outfitters the early season bow hunts will be mainly from tree stands and we may sit on the ground in a blind once in a while too to try and catch the deer moving to and from their summer feeding areas to bedding areas. In the late season it is a lot more transitional from stands to spot and stalk to deer drives. In September, we hunt feeding areas and transition areas. In October (pre-rut period), we hunt over scrapes and along rub-lines, as well as transition areas and field edges. We will do some calling, rattling, and grunting at this time. In November we are a lot more mobile and always on the watch for the cruising rutting bucks, some calling can be done and drives are completed if you know a buck is holed up in a patch of bush. Come join us for the Mule Deer hunt of a lifetime. You will not be disappointed! If have questions about our Mule Deer hunts, season dates, or availability, please feel free to contact us or check out the Bookings area of the site. Spaces fill up fast as I only have a limited number of tags in each area so the area will not be over used.
